The first step would be for us to have a phone meeting. During this free consultation, which lasts for approximately 15 - 30 minutes, I'll ask you questions to help me better understand what your needs are, what you want to achieve, what your time-frame is, who your target audience is, etc. This will give me the information I need to give you an accurate quote as well as write the perfect piece for you.
Next I'll work up an Agreement and email it to you along with an invoice for your deposit. On acceptance of the Agreement, you’ll need to sign - indicating that you have read and agree to the terms, and authorize the project according to the details and terms indicated in the Agreement. This eliminates any confusion or misunderstanding about our mutual obligations and ensures that we’re both happy campers.
Once you've reviewed and signed the Agreement, you'll need to scan it and email it back to me along with your deposit payment. Once the signed Agreement and your deposit have been received, I'll begin working on your project as specified in the Agreement. Before you know it, you'll be reading the first draft!

How quickly can you complete a project?
Most projects can be completed in one to two weeks, but it really depends on the scope of the project. Projects begin the day of the information gathering session, which is conducted after your initial deposit is received. Depending on complexity of the project,
MOST INITIAL DRAFTS are returned to you within 7 - 14 business days. Projects that are quoted to take seven hours or less will be completed within seven business days. Projects that are quoted to take more than seven hours will be completed in 14 - 20 business days.
I don't live anywhere near Chicago. Can I still be your client?
Of course you can. We have clients that live fairly close that we've never met, and we have great working relationships with them. Although meeting in person can be nice, and we're always more than happy to, it isn't always necessary. We can Skype, have phone meetings, or utilize the power of the internet with online meetings, instant messaging and emails.
Do you require a deposit?
YES! For any orders under $1000, 40% is due upon order and required prior to me starting any work on your particular project. For any orders over $1000, 30% is due upon initial order. The full balance is due upon delivery of completed project. No Copyright of any material we have written will be transferred to you, and no edits/revisions will begin until FULL payment of any balance due is received.
How do I pay you?
We accept AMEX, Discover, MasterCard, VISA, credit cards as well as debit cards, certified bank check, or cash if you're local. You'll be invoiced and you then make your payment with your credit or debit card. ALL credit/debit card payments are processed securely via Square.
What if I'm not happy with the initial draft?
After our initial consultation we will have a very good idea of what you want to accomplish, so it's rare that you won't be happy. Sure the draft may need to be tweaked some - that's normal. In any event, once you receive the draft and review it you need to consult with me or someone on our staff if there is something you don't like. Your satisfaction as well as your business successfully reaching the goals we talked about at the onset are extremely important to us. In that spirit, we will edit/revise any of our work up to 3 times without any additional fee.
How do you come to truly understand my business?
We have our clients email or bring any existing content they already have, and we'll spend about an hour or two interviewing them so we can better understand their business and objectives. We ask a lot of crucial questions. A big part of why we're good at what we do is because we're very inquisitive and thorough. To help our clients get to where they want to be, we ask a number of questions plus the three main competitors and/or companies you're aspiring to be like and surpass. We spend time scoping out the competition and doing thorough research of your particular industry.
